I'd say it's special. I've seen how when kids are born, fathers light up. There's a special feeling that comes with being a dad. And from then on one gets the title father after committing to the responsibilities that come with having kids. That's why anyone can be a Dad but not everyone can be a father. This simply means that siring can be easy but sticking through in the life of a kid has its challenges. Despite any reasons one might have its sad when fathers don't step up because its the kids that hurt more. So yesterday being Father's day I had time to reflect on what it means being a father and wrote poems on it.
Happy Fathers day to my Dad
He's been a father for so long
He's been a dad from the time of his Dad
Cause he was the first born, he's siblings he had to carry along
It must have not been easy but he's done he's best
When I see him stare long into space
I see him get lost in all those years
Years he tried to make space
For everyone in his life and for years,
He's been at it that its all his known
I wonder if he had dreams of his own
I wonder if he was able to live those moments
Or he gets to live dreams of he's kids as his own
For all this years people have looked upto him, most moments
It was his word that was good as gold
I wonder how hard it must have been
Being the one to make the decisions for lots of lives
For you counted on and one wrong decision you called mean
Or being blamed for the mistakes of peoples lives
But he never larshed back he just smiled and went on
Happy Fathers Day to my Dad
It's because of him I'd also want to be a Dad
So that I can have a son and name him after dad
Cause if he's anything like my dad
He'll be a great man to the society
