Life. My favourite quote about life is "Life is for the living." This has always been my favourite quote and when I was young I'd not truly grasped the full meaning of it. Well no one really gets to understand life thats why we all figuring it out in our own way. Life is for the living simply means that for you to truly understand life, one, you need to be alive, two, you need to keep trying. Because as you give it a try everyday you simply have the chance to make tomorrow different.
When we all young, all we crave is to grow old. Yes we do enjoy the transition that gets there but mostly what makes us want to be older is the thought that it gets better. Well it does for some but generally it doesn't get better. And since it's me writing, all you can do is pretty much read through to get my point. As we grow older, yeah we do get to a point of independence that we so crave, and yes we do get to a point to understand life better but still our knowledge of it isn't enough. That's why we wish that someone whose crossed this life unto death to somehow come back and tell us about how the other side and maybe then we'd get to understand life.
But since we can't, we resort to our theories on life. Luckily for human beings, they've been people who've come forward with lots of theories to life. Everyone with their great views and great research that only leaves you questioning some more. Here comes also religion, but since its not a topic that sits well with others I'll skip that. I believe great theories to life do come from people who've lived life especially for those who've undergone lots of strife. That's why most great writers do somehow struggle with something. That shows that when one lacks something they take greater care in understanding how things around them work for its only then are we able to live well.
With this comes our dilemma of the day. Why do people fall pray to hope and fear? This are two powerful emotions that shake the very core of what life is. For it's fear that's driven many to their deaths in the name of religion and its hope that's also brought many together to that same religion. With some people having understood some constants to life, plus some theories some go on to indoctrinate others. Yes my words too might be indoctrinating you to my school of thought, but since you not disabled or hemophilic, what would you tell me that I haven't heard. Cause one group that's really been fed hope are people with disability.
It might be as innocent as remarks from people like " It's all God's plan" or "It happens for a reason" but question is, why not you why me. That's the point where people draw the line, get tongue tied and walk away. Because in true sense, it's easier giving someone hope when you yourself don't need it. And it's the sad reality of the life we live. Sadly the one true person to answer our questions isn't in the capacity to answer us, but how I wish He did.
