For me I tend to give people first thought before mine. For instance, how would they react, how would they feel, is it going to hurt them before I consider if it would work for me.
I think disability enhances the gender personality traits as far as emotions are concerned. It is said men are less emotional than women so in addition to disability experiences, one might feel detached in situations. For instance, I rarely feel extremely happy or sad in a situation to the point of being asked if am not happy about something.
But yes. Sometimes disability can distort emotions to the point of feeling numb or disinterested in something. As a kid, I loved music videos but nowadays I like watching lyric videos after making peace with my inability to dance 😆😆😆🤣.
