housing for persons with disabilities is a big challenge, because not many houses are made with persons with disabilities in mind. The end result is that disability friendly houses are either far or expensive in terms of cost. This then complicates the situation because it will contribute to a high transport cost to and from work or social events.
When I'm in search of a house, definitely walking on my own as I house hunt will be hectic. I first tell a friend to go do some research, and then come back with suitable houses that might suite me. From there, we will both go together and check them all out. This helps save the time for me walking long hours in such of a house. One thing I keep in mind is always availability of water, security and access to a hospital. For this are things that if I do have, living there as a person with disability won't be hard for me. And since I'll also need a friend to help me move in, I'll need to pick a place that I'll stay for a while because shifting houses isn't easy for we depend on others to help us and its also costly.
