As persons with disabilities, family is our first support system, and also a stumbling block at times. How do you disclose you are in a relationship to your family members?
In the dating period I don't think I disclose anything to family. Cause I wouldn't want to give them false hopes only to be hurt. For it hurts more cause many more will be inquiring about a lost bond. Its easier detaching and moving on when it's just you who knows what you upto. Family will only be a support system once I've made it official. Cause from then onwards, my partner will be part of the family hence the need to be put closer.
