I grew up in a very ableist and hostile household whereby my disability being autism was considered as a curse in the form. My family members mostly siblings and a widowed caregiver have still todate refused to accept and to embrace neurodiversity in the household due to their cultural beliefs. One thing we need to come up with is how to reach out to willing family members on why it is important to accept that they have neurodivergent members of their family and not to shun them
