Is it essential for a person with disabilities to belong to political parties? will this help in integrating the disability Agenda in the party manifestos or operations?
I see a huge gap in addressing the needs of Persons with disabilities in relation to political activities. The attitudinal barriers limits the participation of these minority group and more often, because of the stigmatisation and discrimination, a good number of people will not engage themselves with political parties. As we try to create a society where no one is left behind,we should address this and promote inclusion of PWD in these important aspect as everyone is entitled to vote
