If yes what kind of jobs are best suitable and what kind of skills are required?
Yes. Individuals with autism can be part of the mainstream workforce. The type of job which would be best suitable for individuals with autism is IT (Information Technology) industry since that is the industry where I am currently working.
The kind of skills required for IT industry depends on the job position and tasks but the following are required below:
How to use computer, laptop, desktop, other devices (tablet, iPad, phone), etc.
Typing skills
How to follow directions
Knowledge of different types of testing and how to raise defects
Knowledge of application softwares like MS Word, PPT, Excel, etc. since they get used to maintain reports and some important details.
Good communication with English Language
Some knowledge of computer programming languages like Java, Python, etc. (if the job position requires it)
Yes they can 💯 and like any other person without autism, what one can do depends on what one is good at, the career path they choose (what they majored in while in college etc). People with autism are very differently Talented one can be good in IT while another can be amazing in sciences or math.....
It will depend on their skills and abilities. Some are good with math, others are not. Since they like routine, supply chain related professions would fit them as well if they are not good with math or IT..Microsoft has been running the Supported Employment program for autistic people to go into different professions of their liking an abilities. Autism is a goldmine given the right environment.

In 2015, Microsoft started the Autism Hiring Program, as part of its inclusive approach to its products services and processes to support individuals with autism by giving them working jobs at Microsoft. The Autism Hiring Program began by changing the Hiring process by stretching out the steps over a four day period. The interview process may involve a pre screened interview session for those with the challenge of maintaining eye contact with the interviewer as well as playing Minecraft while directing others on the game's chat box if they are too shy of directing the other players verbally.

Minecraft is used to test their collaborative/team work abilities as well as inculcating a growth mindset which is a key component of Microsoft's corporate culture. Successful applicants of the programme have gone on to become full time employees of Microsoft leading teams and working on various Microsoft projects such as the Hologens and as software developers for the gaming division of Microsoft, the Xbox.

The success of Autism Hiring Program led to the evolving of the programme to become the Microsoft Neurodiversity program, which now brings in other disorders that may occur simultaneously with autism such as dyslexia and ADHD. The Supported Employment Programme also helps people with autism to work in Microsoft vendors and other jobs that are not IT related, but still match the interests and abilities of people with autism and other developmental disabilities. Other companies that have such initiative include global auditing firm Ernest & Young, Ford Motor Company and JP Morgan Chase, a banking corporation.

Persons with autism are said to be suffering from depression as a result of lack of employment opportunities, coupled with low acceptance rates in their societies. Employees with autism under the neurodiversity program reported feeling good about themselves and feeling important again due to their contribution to the organizations they worked in.

The fact that they did what they love and not having to worry about bills brought them immense pleasure. Training of employees about autism beforehand meant that employees with autism were also being understood in the organization, proving that embracing neurodiversity is possible. This means that apart from progressing career wise, people with autism could be supported to improve on their social interaction skills, thus having a positive work life balance. Gradually, it becomes easier to integrate people with autism in the society while they grow in all the facets of their lives.

[{"insert":"
In 2015, Microsoft started the Autism Hiring Program, as part of its inclusive approach to its products services and processes to support individuals with autism by giving them working jobs at Microsoft.
