Yes it does. Kenyatta University is a public education institution and, in as much there's the Directorate of Special Needs students in the University, those with and without disabilities learn together in one lecture hall. Other universities are taking the cue from Kenyatta University.

    Hope this helps

  • In Kenya, the education system has made significant strides in promoting the inclusion of students with visual impairments alongside their peers without disabilities. This is in line with the principles of inclusive education, which prioritize the education of all students, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, in mainstream schools. However, while progress has been made, there are still challenges and 6 key areas (in my view) that require improvement.

    1. Inclusive Policies
    2. Resource Allocation
    3. Training and Awareness
    4. Challenges Remain
    5. Stigma and Attitudes
    6. Advocacy and Collaboration
