Yes and no. Yes when it leads to a physical or any other impairment such as amputation to prevent spreading. No because not all cases lead to a life impairment and can get cured in some cases due to early detection. Either way, there's an element of cost on both sides so investment should be put in early detection and treatment systems of cancer, as well as proper support systems eg psychosocial support for those that get disability out of cancer because disability related changes have an emotional impact on the victim.
