Oftenly myths and misconceptions around diseases can cause social stigma and discrimination among people . Today, December 1st ,is #WorldAidsDay,Let's join the world in creating more awareness on HIV/AIDS . Is HIV testing before sex, a guarantee of safe sex ? There is this misconception among young people that they can test for HIV before sex and have ‘safe’ unprotected sex.

Dear @Kingndeda, thank you for this post! Very interesting as I had not heard that misconception yet - I think I have heard more about the stigma in general. Many people seem to think that your life is over when you test positive, while realistically there are many ways to live with HIV/AIDS nowadays.
