How is disability and arthritis related?

I've visited a hospital facility lately for check up after having discomforts on my joints and feelings of numbness. It's a Cold month in kenya and somehow my bones react poorly to this type of weather.

I was asked if I suffer from arthritis and this got me thinking if the disease and disability is related..

Is it treatable,anyone with such experience before?
