Yes
This is a great question. Its made me sit down and reflect on just how great it would be having insurance for electric wheelchairs, prosthetic etc. Because in the world of sport, players have the chance to insure their bodies i.e legs and hands or like the doctors insure their hands and so on.

Yes, according to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), insurance companies should cover assistive devices. The CRPD emphasizes the right of persons with disabilities to enjoy full inclusion and participation in society on an equal basis with others. This includes ensuring accessibility to essential services, such as assistive devices, to enable individuals with disabilities to live independently and actively participate in all aspects of life. Therefore, insurance coverage for assistive devices is a crucial aspect of upholding the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
