Definitely🤣. Disability has a way of making one very humble. As a disabled, its hard to get into fights with someone cause you know you might be disadvantaged. In the case of a person dependent on crutches, you afraid that they may take your crutches and run away with them, leaving you stranded. We have to play "good" cause let's say you have charges and you Imprisoned, life there would be harder with your disability. For being disabled requires more of everything while in prison, its just essentials and no special treatment.
wueeh 🤣🤣🤣🤣 @MikkiTarz your comment is as funny as it is true. But for me, disability does not really change one's character it only makes it pronounced or enhanced. If one has a bad character, then they will become manipulative and take advantage of the society's kindness to achieve their ulterior motive. If you were good before the disability happened, you become more good with the disability especially with matters empathy.
At the same time disability suppresses some feelings and emotions due to the fact that it places you at a point of weakness and vulnerability which makes it hard to actualize them. For instance, you might feel vengeful when someone hurts you on account of your disability more so emotionally through words or actions, but because of the disability, you can't take out your emotions the way you imagine them.
or having a soft spot for a lady or a gent but since you fear ruining the friendship by making that admission in addition to the disability, you suppress the romantic feelings at least for the sake of the friendship.
The back of our minds never rest🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Disability by itself moulds one character depending on the growth of Self Esteem, exposure and experience.
People differ depending on the approach towards disability some may turn a new leaf become individual of integrity, compassion and understanding whereas others the bitterness in their life spreads negative vibes towards everything no matter how genuine or legit it may be.
Living with disability isn't necessarily a gate pass to good personality
Disability does not change one's character but the society assumes that it does. We are who we are our characteristics remain the same irrespective of having a disability
