EnAble Vaani is a moderated, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) rural social networking platform for persons with disability. It is a community engagement platform on a basic mobile phone where users can listen, record, and share relevant opportunities and information within the community. It provides unique solutions to needs of persons with disability and the communities.
Since 2016, EnAble Vaani has reached 45,000 Persons with Disability and their families with over 2.5 million+ calls across 29 states of India. Averaging 2 calls per minute.
Namma Vaani, in Kannada (919266344111) was launched in the year 2016. While the Hindi equivalent ‘Hamari Vaani’ (9192663444222) was launched in 2017.
Enable Vaani App (shorturl.at/lwLS0) enables PwD to like, share, forward and create content.
The App has information on wage employment, self-employment, solutions, opportunities, etc. The user can access knowledge and get inputs on the need. Parents, NGOs, companies, universities and other volunteers can also share issues related to PwDs and exchange the knowledge and experience thus reaching the larger community.
